How to Get Your Zip Results from the S3zipper API

Updated 2026-10-21

When a zip job reaches SUCCESS, the archive exists in your S3 bucket and the API can hand you a signed download URL for it.

Get the result

Send the start response — or the previous state response — to the result endpoint:

curl -X POST https://api.s3zipper.com/v1/zipresult \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"taskUUID":[{"streams3v2":"9f2c1e7a-..."}]}'

The response contains the link:

{
  "message": "Results",
  "results": ["https://my-bucket.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/results/reports.zip?X-Amz-..."],
  "taskUUID": [{"streams3v2": "9f2c1e7a-..."}]
}

About the download URL

  • It is a presigned S3 URL, valid for seven days by default. You can shorten that with expireLink (in hours) when starting the job.
  • Anyone with the URL can download the archive, so treat it like a password until it expires.
  • Requesting the result again returns the same URL, so it is safe to hand it to several people.

Waiting for it

If you prefer not to poll, you have two options: wait for the state to become SUCCESS in a loop, or pass resultsEmail when starting the job and let the API email the link when the archive is ready.

What a failed job looks like

A failed job keeps the same task id and reports FAILURE with an Error — for example bad AWS credentials, no readable files, or a plan limit. Fix the cause and start a new job.
